Sangriaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

So we have perfected our recipe thanks to trial and trial. I'd say error but I can't because we successfully drank each batch without complaint. This is the best version of our recipe thus far.



  • one bottle of shiraz ( we use yellowtail because we like the flavor)
  • half a bottle of champagne
  • two sliced up oranges
  • half a watermelon, juiced ( if you don't have a juicer you can blend it and it will be a little more pulpy but still good)
  • two cups orange juice

add all to a pitcher with ice and enjoy!

You can sub 7up for champagne for less alcohol if you want but we found it goes farther this way over ice.


Other fruit can be added as yummy decoration too. I like frozen blueberries because they stay whole and add more chill. Or frozen watermelon chunks like ice cubes.
